  • FE-(H)389-TA

BLUE PANEL SERIES – SMART TRANSDUCER AMPLIFIER

The FE-(H)389-TA is a high performance DC Bridge / Transducer Amplifier replacing both the FE-379-TA & FE-H379-TA amplifiers and is available in two versions.

The standard FE-389-TA has a bandwidth of >1MHz and gains from x10 to x5000. The standard version is hardware upgradable to the FE-(H)389-TA version.

This provides an increased gain range (x5 to x10000) and a SMART Input Stage that automatically configures itself to provide the lowest noise or highest bandwidth (>2MHz) depending on the Front Panel settings.

Because of the SMART Input Stage the output noise of the FE-(H)389-TA with a >2MHz bandwidth is substantially lower than that of the FE-H379-TA (bandwidth 500kHz).

Low Frequency (L.F. or 1/F) noise has also been substantially lowered.

Six Front Panel push buttons and a single rotary controller allow for simple adjustment of all functions.

A ring of 19 multi-colour LEDs around the controller are
used to indicate all the function states.

Once set up is complete, all controls can be locked to help avoid inadvertant changes to settings.

It is suitable for use with DC bridge type transducers and complete or fractional strain gauge bridges. Because of its high bandwidth (>2MHz), the FE-(H)389-TA is highly recommended for Hopkinson Bar type measurements.

The module is powered from 10V to 36V DC. This allows it to be used directly in automotive envionments or it can be mains powered via standard mains adaptors.

Housings are available for individual modules or for multi-channel systems.

  • FE-960-IA

BLUE PANEL SERIES – ISOLATION AMPLIFIER

The FE-960-IA is an Isolation Amplifier in the Fylde “Blue Panel” modular range of signal conditioning and is a general purpose isolation amplifier for front end use when hazardous voltages must be measured.

Continuous voltage isolation is up to 1500V RMS or 2.1kV DC.

Bandwidth extends to more than 200kHz and high speed pulses down to 3µS can be measured.

The amplifier is fully protected using advanced depletion mode FET devices and has a gain range of ÷100 up to x100.

    • Bandwidth extends higher than 200kHz
    • Front panel can be disabled
    • Optional remote control

Enclosures option available from 2 channels, up to a maximum of 16 amplifiers:

    • FE-PE2 for up to 2 amplifiers
    • FE-PE4 for up to 4 amplifiers
    • FE-PE8 for up to 8 amplifiers
    • FE-PE17 (RK) for up to 16 amplifiers

    RK = Rack Mount.

  • FE-961-IA

BLUE PANEL SERIES – ISOLATION AMPLIFIER

The FE-961-IA is a high voltage isolation amplifier for front end use when high voltage inputs must be measured.

The amplifier comprises a low noise, low drift input stage with differential characteristics, a high performance isolation stage and a filter with buffered voltage output.

Continuous voltage isolation is up to 1500V RMS or 2.1kV DC.

There are 9 input ranges with a maximum of 2500V pk (1800V RMS sine wave).

The amplifier is exceptionally easy to use and is fully protected on all ranges 3kV DC or RMS continuous and up to 5kV pk (1s).

    • Maximum Bandwidth of 200kHz
    • Front panel can be disabled
    • Optional remote control

Enclosures option available from 2 channels, up to a maximum of 16 amplifiers:

    • FE-PE2 for up to 2 amplifiers
    • FE-PE4 for up to 4 amplifiers
    • FE-PE8 for up to 8 amplifiers
    • FE-PE17 (RK) for up to 16 amplifiers

    RK = Rack Mount.

  • FE-316-DYN

Micro Analog 2 – DYNAMIC STRAIN GAUGE AMPLIFIER

The FE-316-DYN is a dual channel dynamic strain gauge amplifier which energises a gauge or bridge using a unique low noise balanced dynamic constant current.

The unit is presented as a printed circuit card with jumpers which select constant current, gain and filter bypass.

Filter settings are by plug-in resistor network:

    • The 8 pole (-48 dB / octave) LP
    • The 2 pole (-12 dB / Octave) HP

The constant current supply is very low noise and is balanced so that the load resistance develops approximately equal positive and negative voltages at its terminals.

    Card Size, FYLDE MicroAnalog2 Format:

    • 180 mm x 67 mm
